Capital Business Solutions has been working with the Charlotte Symphony on their Raiser’s Edge software.
Working with Michelle Hamilton, Vice President of Development, CBS has been providing consulting and end-user training helping correct soft credits in the database, changes to gift processing, the integration of Raiser’s Edge to Financial Edge and reconciling Raiser’s Edge to the General Ledger. In addition, Alyson will be spending time doing the complete cleaning of all soft credits from the database.
Who is the Charlotte Symphony?
Founded in 1932, and led by internationally renowned Music Director Christopher Warren-Green, Charlotte Symphony is the largest arts employer in the region, supporting 59 full-time musicians from diverse backgrounds.
Core programming runs from September through May each season and includes Classical, Pops, and Family series, among other special performances with notable soloists. Annual favorite Magic of Christmas delights during the holidays each season, and they also serve as the soundtrack to our community’s ballet and opera productions.

Alyson Watts – Fundraising Practice Manager
Alyson graduated from Davidson College with a degree in English. She has over 20 years of practical experience as both a fundraising professional and donor management services consultant in a variety of settings specializing in Raiser’s Edge. Nine of those years were spent in a Director of Development capacity. In 2006 Alyson transitioned into a consulting role and has since worked closely with a wide range of nonprofits, from national organizations to small two-to-three person shops in education, health and human services, the arts, animal welfare, conservation, foundations and more.
