Capital Business Solutions has been working with Metropolitan Community College, of Omaha, NE as a new Financial Edge NXT and Raiser’s Edge NXT Client.
Working with Theresa Magner, Assistant Director of Grant and Foundation Accounting and other staff, CBS has helped correct previous designed financials and generate new ones on their Financial Edge NXT software. Next up, CBS assisted the organization with their Pledge Processing and posting to the General Ledger plus three days of onsite Raiser’s Edge/NXT customized training for their users. Finally, CBS helped with two days of customized Financial Edge NXT training including RE NXT to FE NXT integration processing. CBS looks forward to an ongoing relationship with the team at Metropolitan Community College as they continue to progress with their Blackbaud software.
Who is Metropolitan Community College?
Metropolitan Community College is a comprehensive, full-service public community college supported by the taxpayers of Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy and Washington counties. Its purpose is to provide high quality educational programs and services, primarily in career preparation and general education, to people of all ages and educational backgrounds. Jason Simpkins – Senior Consultant and Implementation Specialist
Jason graduated from Bluefield State College in Bluefield, WV in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting and Management. Since then, Jason worked as an accountant for a CPA firm whose audits consisted primarily of nonprofit and government entities. He also served as a controller for a manufacturing/building company, managing the accounting department and being responsible for month end closing and financial statements for 14 separate companies. Today, Jason uses his nonprofit and accounting skills as an Implementation Specialist and Consultant for Abila MIP Fund Accounting and Blackbaud Financial Edge/NXT Services.
Alyson Watts – Fundraising Practice Manager
Alyson graduated from Davidson College with a degree in English. She has over 20 years of practical experience as both a fundraising professional and donor management services consultant in a variety of settings specializing in Raiser’s Edge. Nine of those years were spent in a Director of Development capacity. In 2006 Alyson transitioned into a consulting role and has since worked closely with a wide range of nonprofits, from national organizations to small two-to-three person shops in education, health and human services, the arts, animal welfare, conservation, foundations and more.
