Capital Business Solutions is excited to be working with the staff of Solomon Schechter School of Westchester on their Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge and Education Edge software.

After consulting with Tracey Harris, Chief Financial Officer at Solomon Schechter School, CBS helped review the integration of Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge, finished setup of the schools’ Raiser’s Edge fund distributions, and provided training and a walk through of their gift entry process including posting from Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge. After completing the project it was determined that additional training on the Student Billing module would be very beneficial for the Accounts Receivable Department so CBS will be assisting with that next week.

Jason Simpkins– Senior Consultant and Implementation Specialist

Jason graduated from Bluefield State College in Bluefield, WV in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting and Management. Since then, Jason worked as an accountant for a CPA firm whose audits consisted primarily of nonprofit and government entities. He also served as a controller for a manufacturing/building company, managing the accounting department and being responsible for month end closing and financial statements for 14 separate companies. Today, Jason uses his nonprofit and accounting skills as an Implementation Specialist and Consultant for Abila MIP Fund Accounting and Blackbaud Financial Edge Services.

Alyson Watts – Fundraising Practice Manager

Alyson offers 13 years of fundraising experience in a variety of nonprofit settings, including 9 years in a Director of Development capacity and 6 years administering The Raiser’s Edge® databases. Her fundraising experience includes corporate development, membership, annual giving, special events, grant writing, and capital campaigns; and her nonprofit management experience includes strategic planning, budgeting, volunteer development, staff structuring, and training. She has direct experience with both national organizations with hundreds of employees and with small non-profits with budget size of under $1 million. Her professional services experience includes implementing software, managing software conversions and upgrades and devising workflow and written procedures manuals.

Christy Anderson – Senior Consultant and Implementation Specialist

Christy has more than 15 years of experience with the Blackbaud products, having worked at Blackbaud from 1994-2001 where she was a Senior Support Analyst and Software Trainer. Christy’s thorough product knowledge and training abilities made her a great resource for modifying and restructuring training workbooks; providing internal training to new analysts and coaching new trainers on their presentation skills. Christy started with Capital Business Solutions in 2001 where she currently directs client implementations for Capital Business Solutions and provides an in depth understanding of non-profits along with a wealth of Blackbaud experience for our clients.
