Capital Business Solutions is excited to be working with the staff of The University of Vermont Health Network on their Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge software.
CBS spent time with Steve Warren, Chief Financial Officer at University of Vermont Health and Ginger Lubkowitz, Chief Development Officer plus their teams to review the integration of Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge and do a comprehensive assessment of their databases, processes and procedures. The Raiser’s Edge sessions included meetings with the organization staff, a review of current fundraising processes and systems, and a discussion of future needs. A recommendation for addressing the items contained in the findings report was provided and used as a reference for additional discussion and formulation of a detailed work plan. Areas that were covered during the process included data entry, constituents, gifts, mail and exports, database review including table configuration, modules, campaigns, funds and appeals, reports, along with identification of user training needs. As a result of the System Assessment future work will be performed including data cleanup, conversion and user training.
On the Financial Edge side The System Assessment sessions included a review of the General Ledger, Account Structure and Reporting along with thorough discussion with key staff regarding business processes, office workflows, tasks and responsibilities. The sessions also included help in determining reports needed from the system and identification of training needs for end users. As a result of the Assessment CBS will be contracted for additional data cleanup, system changes and training.

Her fundraising experience includes corporate development, membership, annual giving, special events, grant writing, and capital campaigns; and her nonprofit management experience includes strategic planning, budgeting, volunteer development, staff structuring, and training. She has direct experience with both national organizations with hundreds of employees and with small non-profits with budget size of under $1 million. Her professional services experience includes implementing software, managing software conversions and upgrades and devising workflow and written procedures manuals.
Christy Anderson – Senior Consultant and Implementation Specialist
Christy has more than 15 years of experience with the Blackbaud products, having worked at Blackbaud from 1994-2001 where she was a Senior Support Analyst and Software Trainer. Christy’s thorough product knowledge and training abilities made her a great resource for modifying and restructuring training workbooks; providing internal training to new analysts and coaching new trainers on their presentation skills. Christy started with Capital Business Solutions in 2001 where she currently directs client implementations for Capital Business Solutions and provides an in depth understanding of non-profits along with a wealth of Blackbaud experience for our clients.
