Capital Business Solutions recently assisted the staff of the French American School of New York with their Blackbaud Financial Edge software.
Working with Pascale Tooth, Director of Finance and Operations and Diana Rafailova, Controller for the school, CBS helped provide consulting to help create, test and train on reports including balance sheet, income statements, projects, budget management and cash flow. In addition to the reports assistance, CBS also worked with the staff to review the schools’ current third-party vendors and plug-ins to determine if new reports, templates and workflows could be created to eliminate those tie-ins. Future projects will include a restructuring of the Chart of Accounts along with some training and work for the Admissions team.
Who is the French American School of New York?
Founded in 1980 as a one-room nursery program with 17 students, the French-American School of New York has today become a thriving bilingual, international Nursery-12th grade educational institution with an enrollment of 850 students coming from over 50 different countries. At the pre-school level, they pride ourselves in welcoming students regardless of their language skills and bringing them to true academic bilingualism. In the High School, thanks to their new International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme taught in English, they are thrilled to now welcome qualified non-French speaking local or international students. The School’s rigorous bilingual, multicultural curriculum includes a Pre-School with Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten, the Lower School Grades 1-5, and the Upper School Grades 6-12. Graduates are awarded a FASNY diploma and are prepared to pass either the French Baccalauréat (ES and S) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
