Capital Business Solutions recently helped out the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank in Baton Rouge, LA on the Abila Fundraising 50 (formerly Sage FR50) software.

Working with Vice President of Development and Philanthropy, Charlene Montelaro, CBS provided end user training for the staff covering a comprehensive overview, reporting, queries, and database management. CBS will be setting up additional training sessions for the team over the coming months.

The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank mission is to feed the hungry in Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes by providing food and educational outreach through faith-based and other community partners. The food bank is a nonprofit organization which solicits, procures, inventories and warehouses donated food and other products. This food is then distributed to a variety of community agencies such as pantries, meal sites, homes, shelters and soup kitchens which serve the people in need. Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank has have served the hungry in their 11 parish service area for nearly 30 years. In 2013, they distributed more than 9.6 million meals.
