Working with Tom Kane, Development Director at the organization, CBS is helping implement a Solutions Subscription and migration to Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT including the Essentials Package with Events, Tribute, EFT, Payment Processing, and Search Online Express for Email Marketing & Online Donations. CBS is also providing training and consulting to get the team up and running smoothly.
Who is Community Action Organization of Western NY?
Community Action Organization of Western NY have been working for five decades with the clear mission of encouraging and providing tools for people to help themselves; through economic empowerment, social engagement, community health initiatives, workforce development and education. Many families are still struggling to make their ends meet but they are on the front lines everyday to mitigate the effects of poverty on low-income communities throughout Western New York. This cannot be done alone but as the experts on poverty in the region, they will continue to lead the charge and provide solutions that empower their clients to become more self-reliant and overcome the crippling cycle of poverty.

Alyson graduated from Davidson College with a degree in English. She has over 20 years of practical experience as both a fundraising professional and donor management services consultant in a variety of settings specializing in Raiser’s Edge. Nine of those years were spent in a Director of Development capacity. In 2006 Alyson transitioned into a consulting role and has since worked closely with a wide range of nonprofits, from national organizations to small two-to-three person shops in education, health and human services, the arts, animal welfare, conservation, foundations and more.
