Making a difference for our nonprofit & public sector clients

Sage To Fundraise on Behalf of The ARK During the 2011 AFP International Conference

Sage North America today announced it will help raise as much as $5,000 for The ARK, a not-for-profit, community-funded social service agency based on Chicago's North Side, in conjunction with the 48th Association of Fundraising Professional (AFP) International Conference on Fundraising, being held March 20-22 in Chicago.

"One of the most vital services The ARK provides is food," said Miriam Weinberger, executive director for The ARK. "As part of our wraparound approach to client-centered social work, we feel that stabilizing a family and providing them with the basic necessities, such as food, is key to helping them become self-reliant. The gift from Sage will be used to purchase food for our food pantry, which currently provides over 600 families with groceries each month."

A Sage employee dressed as a pea pod to represent The ARK food pantry's need will pass out 2,500 static cling decals with canned food images to AFP conference attendees. For every decal put on the Inspiration Wall in Sage's booth (#100), Sage will donate $1 to The ARK. Additionally, any member of the public, regardless of whether they are attending the AFP conference, can help support The ARK by Following the @SageNonprofit Twitter handle at www.twitter.com/sagenonprofit, or selecting "Like" on the Sage Nonprofit Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/sagenonprofitsolutions. Sage will donate $1 for every Facebook "Like" and every new Twitter Follower, until the total donation amount of $5,000 is reached.

The ARK is a Sage Fundraising 50 customer. Weinberger will be in the Sage booth on Sunday, March 20 at 2:30 p.m. to discuss the organization and its work.

The ARK serves people from all walks of life, working with each person or family in distress to create a unique and comprehensive care plan that draws upon the organization's wide array of free social and medical services under one roof. Its primary goals are to stabilize their clients' situations and assist them in achieving the highest degree of self-sufficiency possible. While each year The ARK cares for more than 3,500 people from throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, the organization acknowledges each member of its community as an important, unique individual.

In addition to supporting The ARK at the AFP conference, Sage will showcase its Nonprofit Solutions, including Sage Fundraising Online, its flexible fundraising and event management connect service, Sage Millennium, its highly customizable, web-based, nonprofit CRM (constituent relationship management) software for large nonprofit organizations, and Sage Mobile Payments, its secure, PCI compliant mobile payments solution that allows nonprofits to accept donations anywhere.
