Sage Continues to be the Usage Share Leader in the Construction Industry According to Recent Survey
Sage North America today announced that the Sage Construction and Real Estate product lines have been recognized as the most widely used applications for construction estimating, job costing, accounting, payroll, and project management, according to the Construction Financial Management Association's (CFMA) 2010 Information Technology Survey for the Construction Industry, eighth edition.* This survey profiles the systems, software and solutions in use by construction companies including general, heavy-highway and specialty contractors.

Accounting, Payroll and Job Costing Applications
According to the survey, Sage is the overall market leader among respondents in the accounting, payroll and job costing discipline at 29 percent market share with Sage Timberline Office representing 24 percent and Sage Master Builder representing 5 percent. Among general contractors, Sage has the highest share of the survey participant market (43 percent). Sage also strongly leads the specialty trades market segment that responded to the survey with a 27 percent share.
Estimating Applications
Sage is the leader among contractors using estimating software (19 percent) with Sage Timberline Office estimating commanding 17 percent of the respondents. Overwhelmingly, general contractors choose Sage brands for their estimating needs, totaling 35 percent.
Project Management Applications
Sage is the overall market share leader among survey participants in the project management software category at 19 percent. Among general contractors, Sage commands 29 percent of the survey base along with 18 percent of specialty trades.
