Junior Level Software Developer

Capital Business Solutions is looking for a self-motivated, project oriented individual with strong junior programming skills who can work under the supervision of a senior programmer. Great opportunity to grow with a small company.
This position will also include the following duties:
- Design, write code and document software applications to design specifications
- Review and maintain existing software programs to provide as needed customer support and updates. Determine possible enhancements for general release
- Provide support to existing CBS clients currently using CBS software products
- Provide end user training to the CBS client base on custom programs
- Provide end user training to CBS staff as necessary on custom programs
- Create custom documentation and manuals as needed by clients
- Serve as a technical resource for CBS Staff (i.e. Computer issues, software issues)
- Perform remote installations and upgrades
Our choice for this position will already possess the following:
- Minimum of 2 years of VB6 or later and\or VB .Net experience
- COM programming and/or experience using a product API
- SQL Server 2000/2005 or later experience or similar SQL database experience
- Experience with finance/accounting general ledger or ERP system
- Customer support/consulting experience
- Any web based application language
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Ability to generate professional correspondence and ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to self-direct and manage the daily programming activities
- Strong organizational skills
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- VB.NET and XML experience
- SQL Server 2005 or later database experience
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Reporting Services for designing reports
- Experience providing programming support for developed programs
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
